Brooklyn: Brooklyn Park Summer Program

Helen Silvis writes "Kudos to Craig, the youth worker who has been running the summer program in Brooklyn Park. As a parent with a 10-year-old who has spent many hours in the park, I've had an opportunity to see first-hand his amazing work with youth. Craig knows every kid who is a regular at the park and in a low-key way keeps an eye on all of them. I'm sure it is due to him that this multicultural group of kids have all managed to get along, make good friendships, stay out of trouble and have a safe, wonderful summer.

To my mind this is an excellent example of prevention work with kids -- keeping them on a positive track. And it is taking only the cost of one youth worker to do this. Money very well spent for the community by the city. And no I'm not a city employee. So to ONI and the city. Thanks for funding the parks program."
