March 10 Salmon and our drinking water class

Terry Black writes "There is space still available on March 10 for the FREE 'Water for fish, water for people--the story of salmon and our drinking water' class at the SW Community Center from 9 am-1 pm.

Portland-area residents get the majority of their drinking water from one of the most protected watersheds in the world. While the Bull Run watershed has been a primary source for clean drinking water for over 100 years, it has been home to threatened salmon and steelhead trout for much longer. Many agencies and organizations have joined together to conduct projects in the Sandy River Basin to restore and improve native salmon habitat.
